I just wanted to ask everyone to be praying for my family and me. I was sitting here last night reading the posts and I started getting a back ache. Within 10 minutes it was so bad, I couldn't stand it. My dh took me to the ER, it was so bad I couldn't sit in a chair, stand or lean on dh. The nurse told me to sit down in the wheelchair and sit back. I told her get me a bed I needed to lie down. She then told me she had to get my temp., "Open your mouth and then shut it" I told her I was going to VOMIT. Which I did, all that good Easter dinner (sorry for the graphic description). Then she wanted to take my blood pressure, right. Anyway she got me into a bed within 10 minutes of arriving. They got the IV's running and gave me meds for nausea and pain, sent me for a CAT scan and confirmed - Kidney Stone. The dr. came in and said to go home and wait for it to pass. Before I could get ready to go home, it hit again. More meds and a bed for the night. I had a surgery procedure this afternoon - blasted the KS because it was blocking something. I'm home now on some good meds and don't feel to bad. This pain was worse than child birth. Please pray for us, we really need this vacation that we will be taking in less than 3 weeks. I would hate to disappoint the kids with not going to Disney. Thanks for the prayers in advance.

Praying for you G'ma... I had a kidney stone 6 mos. after dh and I were married. I thought I was dying! I spent the night in the ER having tests run, only to be sent home to endure the pain for 3 days before it passed. It was awful!! Sorry you had to go through it!

Oh, I'm so sorry! That's awful! I hope everything was blasted enough to not cause you problems! Is it still in there, or did the surgery get it out? I will certainly pray for you and your family!!!
HUGS!!!

I had a good night last night. I sure pray they got it all and it all passes ok. I tried going without the meds this morning, but had to take them. Not sure what the pain is from, maybe the procedure itself. Throat is still sore, too. Thanks for all the prayers, they are appreciated.

Im sorry you had to endure that, but I hope and pray that they were able to crush it small enough so it pass. Do you know if they put a stent in you? this would allow for the stones(peices) to move easier thru you. I work on a surgical floor and deal with these type of patients..although I am NOT a nurse I only know what I see/read from the floor.

Melissa, I don't know what they did exactly. He didn't say of any stint. He did give me percocet, so that should help with any pain I might have. Thank you for all your prayers

I am feeling alot better. Still taking the meds, they are helping. My chiroprator called me today and asked how I was feeling. It was his x-rays that showed the stone, that is why I was sure it was a kidney stone. Anyway he told me to drink a half gallon of water with pure MSM and lemon in it. I have my half gallon drank for the day. Thanks again for all your prayers, they are being answered.

I just saw this!!! Carl's had kidney stones several times, so I understand!!! If your vacation is three weeks away, it should be all gone by then I would think! Will be praying!
Is the MSM a powder? I've read that's good for several things. And how do you know if it's "pure?" (If you don't mind sharing.)

Thanks everyone, feeling alot better today. Prairie home, the MSM is a crystal powder, if that makes sense, and it says "Pure" on it. It does have a strange taste and I will have to get use to it.
