HELP!! Trying to burn CD's!!

My dh and I are directing our children's Christmas musical and are trying to make practice CD's for the kids. We copied the songs to our computer and then to CD's. The CD's work in the computer, but not on a CD player. We checked the "copy for use in a CD player" box. What are we doing wrong?

I had the same problem the first time I tried, they worked in the computer but not the cd players. The second time I tried they worked in 2 of our CD players, but not the 3rd.
The second time I copied them from the cd to the computer, I clicked copy and it "converted" them and then "copy".
Did yours say "converting"?

Yes, it says "converting" and then "completed". One of them worked in one CD player once, but not the second time we tried.

Maybe it is a difference in the CD players. Our cheap ones played our made cds, but the better one did not.

Some CD players do not have the ability to play CD-Rs especially if they are older ones. Check the instruction manual on the CD players to see if that is what is the problem.

I ended up just taking the laptop to church. I got a techo geek there to show me another way to do it. They worked in the church's CD player, so hopefully they will work when the kids get them home.

We have burned CD's before with no problem, so I'm not sure what went wrong today.
