How can we delete a post or a thread that we, ourselves have made?

I have a thread that I created that was a mistake and I would like to delete it. And I figured it would be prudent to also ask how to delete a post.

I clicked on "Edit" but neither option allowed for deletion of posts or threads.

I know that it is not possible you you to delete your own threads. It may be possible to delete a post, but I will have to check. In either case, however, you can simply edit the post and delete the text of your post. You can replace it with something like "deleted post" or "edited" or "-------------"... whatever makes sense to you. :)
