I sent for the materials for both girls for this school year.
I believe it's too late to sign up for it now, though, isn't it?

It's a nice program and the girls loved going to Pizza Hut.
Our Pizza Hut has the buffet on Sundays and honored the Bookit! coupon for the buffet, which worked out really nicely.

We love the Book It program. Friendlys and Old Country Buffet also has reading programs.

:D We enjoy bookit each year here. I think the deadline is once they reach a certain number and it is sometime in July. They have a phone number too. In the past, our supplies have arrived by the end of August. :wink:

I sent off for it this year, got the certificates, and then promptly forgot about it until I ran across them recently (doesn't help that we moved twice in that time)....plan to do it again next year. You do have until mid-summer to sign up if I remember correctly. I tried last month and it was still too early to sign up for next year.

Thanks for the reminder!! I just signed dd up~this is her third year dooing it. I decided to order some of the "prizes" for motivational reasons for dd (she can be stubborn when it comes to reading....I hope that passes real soon!) I think I will let her pick a prize out at the end of every week if she reads all week long without giving me any grief!:roll: I also signed up my best friend who also hs.

We did Book It this year. The kids loved it! We don't have a Pizza Hut close to us so it was even more of a treat when the kids did get to go. Their reading has improved so much since school started. I promised them a trip to a place similar to Chuck E Cheese in May for all their hard work. They are soooo excited.
I see that the Book It program ends at 6th grade. DD is so bummed about it. She will be in 7th grade next year and turning 13 in December but is quite young for her age. I am thinking of what I can do to replace the program.
