Hello eveyrone,
I'm new to this forum. I haven't spent much time on any forum.
I am a homeschooling mom of 3 kids. We have just finished year 2. My children are 11dd, 10ds, and 8.5dd. The kids all spent time in schools outside the home before we brought them home.
Our first year we did school at home and this past year with moving, dads back injury then my broken foot we kinda moved to an eclectic/unschooling type of learning. We all really like this style of learning and will continue doing in the future.
We have just found out that my son has Nonverbal Learning Disablilities so that really supports how we have been doing things, and makes me sad and guilty for my frustration over his seemingly growing lazyness where written work is involved.
My youngest daughter has a multitude of disabilities surrounding her motor processing, and all her motor skills. She also had educational testing done and the dr said she is fine. She seems to have no learning disabilities, she is just much slower at writing and reading though she has all the tools needed to complete the tasks and does so very well, just SLOWWWWWWWWWWLY.
My oldest is great, she just needs to learn how to slow down and do it right the first time. LOL
All 3 kids are wonderful kids, love learning and are very smart. They are very artistic and we are very active outside the house.
We live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
