I'm a past homeschooling mom with ummm16 years behind me..and I'm NOT going to homeschool my grandchildren. But, I still have a passion for it and feel like I'm missing out if I'm not part of a homeschool meeting or discussion.
I've recently starting trying to find a way to make some money at home and my son convinced me that I needed to make a website and use google adsense on it, but I didn't know what kind of a page to make...I decided to go with my passion! So, I started my website http://www.homeschoolnutsnbolts.com (http://). I thought some may be interested in the contest that I am having:
Starting April 1 and continuing until May 15, your students are invited to participate in the Home School Nuts-n-Bolts writing contest! The Grand Prize is $35 for the best story of 500 words or less titled "The Best Field Trip I Ever Took!"
This will be judged according to originality, content and grammar (will be judged fairly considerate of the child's grade level). For this contest, there will be only 1 award given regardless of grade level.
In future contests, I hope to be able to offer more prizes for different grade levels! So, get those pencils sharpened up and start writing!
