Welcome! Love to hear from homeschoolers with big families. I want to know how you all manage to teach such a variety of grade levels at the same time. I find it hard with my two kids. Hi, I'm Missy. I hs my 9yo and 5yo children.

Wow, you sound like my cousin, (less variety in children, she is working on #8--all boys and homeschools). Welcome to the Homeschool spot. We have 4 children, twins that are 8, a 6 and a 5 year old.

Just wanted to say thank you all for the kind welcome!! Yes, we are very blessed to have so many and yes, it can be fun, especially on holidays when everyone is here! It gets crazy sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Missy I saw on some of your other posts that you live in GA. We live in NW GA right outside of Chattanooga. Where 'bouts are you? As far as teaching all of them, we use Sonlight and the oldest 2 pretty much are on their own. The oldest especially is self-directed and the 13 yo does pretty well, too. The 8 yo (oops! 9 tomorrow!) dd and 5 yo ds are the only ones I really sit down with for any length of time. When I need to go to the Dr. or run errands the older ones are able to fill in for me and help the youngers. There are perks to having large families <<grin>>!!
All of you guys sound so nice and I look forward to chatting with all of you!!
