Okay ladies, I need some prayer warriors. My life seems to be coming apart at the seams. Here are my requests:
1) Today, my dh has to take the car in to the mechanic. it maybe a transmission problem. YIKES. THis is our ONLY car and we have no extra money. Please pray that there is an affordable way to fix the car. He goes into day at 2pm.
2) I reported some time ago that our mortgage company gave us a refinance that was great. Well, the signature was wrong so they rejected our acceptance. They informed us that we would have to go through the process again....but oddly, we no longer qualified. Nothing has changed..and they were the ones to offer the refi to us on their own. So, I sent them all the info required for a refi plus a copy of the offer they sent us and told them the situation. PRAYING they just reoffer us the refi. If not, we are in some serious trouble.
So, my car and house are on the line. Not sure if 2010 will start out with no car and no where to live right now or not. I am sure God has this worked out but I need some prayer support. As strange as this may sound...maybe I am in shock...I feel pretty confident things will be okay. Of course, eventually they will be, right. Maybe I just can't face these huge things right now. UGH...first thing we will know about today..not sure when we will hear back from the house...my dh will be calling.

First, I'll be praying for you. Secondly, if we are faithful to the Lord in our tithes and offerings, He says He will pour out blessings on us so much so that we can't contain them! :D I know we've experienced God taking over situations like this in ways we couldn't even have imagined He would. Keep watching and anticipating the miracles!

He is faithful whether or not we can give. Thank goodness it's not a quid pro quo arrangement. It's like the bumper sticker I used to see a few years back: "God said it, I believe it, that settles it!" To be correct, it should be "God said it, that settles it!" It doesn't matter whether we believe it; it's settled anyway.
The reason I mention this is that there are times in our lives when we simply cannot afford to contribute anything financially. That's quite OK. At other times, we're able to give very generously. The Lord understands this, and all we have belongs to him anyway. If money must go to fixing a car, that's just fine because the car will be used for his purpose (it's his car anyway, not ours). That was our 'tithe'.
Ava, things will work out. Looking back, we always see this. It's just the looking forward bit that takes a little faith sometimes. :)

Hey, in there Ava (Sis) I hope things get better soon.
Sometimes those hills are pretty hard to climb but we always seem to get to the top.
Might take some work and sweat but we seem to do it.

I'm praying for your family. I'm glad that you have the peace to know that it will all work out. It's faith, honey, not shock ;)
Ava, prayers and hugs to you. We are in the same boat here. Our tranny went out on our car this weekend. Now driving my mom and dads til we can get something else. Got lucky with our mortgage and they deferred payments to help us get caught up. Sometimes I just want to scream and lose it. But I wake up everyday and lift my head and smile because that is all I can do!!! I have been living on Faith for a long time and will cont.

Well..it was a ball bearing..whoa...I did go to college..I swear it. LOL. At any rate, it will cost about $300. YIPPY! That is better then $3000. Now, if the noise is still there we may have to replace the other one...at another $300..but even so...the car is still able to function. It was in excellent condition for being old..so I was hoping it wasn't too serious.
Thank you all for praying and supporting me...it means more than you know. Still no news on the house. I will report that when I hear something.

I'm glad to hear that the car wasn't too hard or expensive to fix. Praying that you get good news on the house soon.

Your post was awesome! In fact, it came at the right time. My attitude lately with tithing was kinda poor. I used to be on fire for giving no matter what. However, I have not been a cheerful giver in tithing, offerings or even ministries as of late. So, actually your post spoke to my heart condition. It was VERY encouraging and very timely. The Lord knew I needed the reminder. Thanks!

Glad to hear you needed those words. I evidentally needed those words at one time myself or I wouldn't have them to share with you. :D
Our family's prayers are also with you. If you really are threatened with homelessness, come our direction. Seriously.
