if you select the puzzle piece then you can do etch a sketch online there are other things I haven't even done.

Can you still buy Etch-a-Sketches? I haven't seen those since Kevin was small.

Did you see the art work? A guy I knew in college actually made stuff like that. The company would send him an Etch-A-Sketch, he would do a fantastic picture, then do something to it so it wouldn't erase and send it back to the company. And I can't even make a house look good!

All I ever did was go around and around the square.

Yes you can still get them, we have a few small ones they are good for traveling.

You can even buy tiny keychain ones...

As a kid I always just made the whole thing covered with lines so I could see how it worked inside.

Yep, I have the key chain, :) We finaly saw how it worked on a tv special once.

Don't know. We have one, but I think it was from when the boys were little.

Yep. They still make Lite-Brites and they have travel size for that, too.

Jackie, my dad could do the Etch-A-Sketch so well that we weren't allowed to play on HIS :lol:. We had our own to share between the kids.

They make a light brigt cube, you can make a couple of pictures at a time, its smaller than the origional, and there are trays for peg storage.

My daughters have an E-Z Bake Oven. But when I was a kid, they actually got hot. Now they're only heated by a lightbulb. Same with the Creepy Crawlers. My brother and I use to have a blast with them! Then my step-sons had a set. It didn't work very well because it didn't have a heating unit that actually got hot.

I have a baby crissy, my grandmother held her hostage for a long time because I cut her hair!--- she was a doll maker and believed in taking very good care of dolls! I still have her up in my closet!

I LOVED my Baby Chrissy. She was soft and plump!
When Jeanne was 2 I bought one at an antique store for 50.00, figuring Jeanne would like her, too. Well, Jeannie doesn't like dolls at all, so I gave her away to a charity.

I hugged her, first.....

Aball, I'm jealous that you have an original one. That was such a sweet doll.

I wish I had more of my Grandmothers dolls, my mom just gave Eva a pig! Its a stuffed doll that my Grandmother made herself, but Eva got it because she likes Pigs.... wierd child!

I do have a Shirly Temple Doll, I got it from my Grandmother "Grammy" on my first birthday, I think she still has her hair net!---But like all the dolls my Grammy got me or made for me I wasn't reallly allowed to play with them, they were hung on the wall. Thats why we let our kids play with the things we know will be "collectors" items because its not fun having a toy you can't play with! I get disapointed when I think the kids will just love something and they don't-- my example is the big parades on TV, the Macy's Thanksgiving parade and the rose parade!! The girls do play with some strawberry shortcake toys, I used to love her. And of course the boys love everything that Daddy did, base ball, football, little plastic toy soldiers, G. I. Joes and boy stuff!

I have a jointed bear that my mom's best friend brought over from Germany when I was born. It doesn't have a tag, so it's not really worth as much as I'd like. I set it out on the changing table in my kids' nursery. One of them (probably Faythe!) managed to get the eye off. I took it to my friend who makes artistic dolls, and she was able to fix it for me.

I am sure that someone got the bargain of the day with Baby Crissy.Shirley Temple ...Wow. I am with you A Ball I don't give toys that can't be played with. I have been known to buy Two. One to play with and one to keep.My grandma every year bought us clothes. never toys. The toys are what I remember. My other grandma gave us cookies and toys.Her toys weren't extravigant .She only spent a couple dollars each. I lost count at 40 grandkids.Good thing that woman loved to bake.
