This came in at another site I'm on:

You can order Colgate-Palmolive Company's Bright Smiles, Bright Futures learning kit at this website. The kits have several items included such as a poster, teacher's guide, a small storybook, a video called "Dr. Rabbit and the Legend of Tooth Kingdom", etc. You can order it here online at:
http://kindergarten.colgatebsbf.com/preorder and you will receive your kit in mid-January 2006 in time for February's National Children's Dental Health Month.

Offer good until January 2006.

I just ordered this kit. The web site looks very interesting! I think Phillip will enjoy it!

Jeannie plays the games at Colgate.com They're fluffy, Jackie. I think the most educational one is where you dress the dentist for the weather.

Jackie, I just visited the link. I thought it said the kit would arrive in late January 2005. Where did you see 2006?

I signed up for it. :) it said 2005 on the website but the confirmation e-mail said to watch for my kit in early 2006... also I checked that I had between 1 and 20 students and it informed me I'm getting a kit for 30 kids. heh I guess they just haven't updated the site... and boy should Sami's smile be bright times 30.

My confirmation also said thirty kids. Maybe I'll send them an e-mail and ask if they would consider smaller packages, too. Even when I was in the classroom, I only was allowed eight max because it was a special ed class. I went around and around with a lady at the newspaper once. I already got the daily paper at home. I wanted to sign up for Newspapers in Education. I was willing to pay the $5, but for that I'd get 30 newspapers every Wednesday!!! I told her no, just send me the guide. She got REALLY MAD and rude with me, telling me how many people homeschool for religious reasons, and how it would be totally unethical for her to do that, and what a horrid person I was to ask her to do something so unethical. HUH???

I got mine a while back, the kids asked to watch the video over and over. They all got a booklet too with a story and a chart to record when they loose their teeth. I was a little disapointed because when I did my search on there because I wanted to get those little pink tablets that show your kids how they did with their brushing, I don't know if they do those any more. But the kit you get is really cool.

I've looked at this before, but it seemed that homeschoolers weren't welcome to order the teaching freebie. How do you handle that, or what do you do to be able to order. I have only 2 school aged children than can use it now, and I would like to order. Any suggestions?

I simply fill things out as if I am a school...when they ask for a school name I put in (our last name) homeschooling. It has never been questioned...

Heather, many of us have named our homeschool. My kids attend The Way of Wisdom Homeschool. One of us...Trish, maybe?...runs The Comfy Couch Academy! Rachael filled out a form not too long ago that asked for her school, and she actually wrote our "school name"! We have found that sometimes having a name helps.

Momof3~
Jackie's suggestion to name your school is great.
When filling out the form, I didn't see it written anywhere that homeschoolers weren't allowed to participate. One of the options was for 1-20 students (that would be you).
We use the name of our street, along with the word Academy, and it sounds very professional. No one has questioned it.

Jackie,
I think Lorna was the one who came up with that. Mine is Vicki's Homeschool. I can't forget my kid's name.

I wonder if crest has anything we can get for free? Yes, I am a freebie junkie.

Thanks. Just give them to other moms you know. Their kids will like them too.

Great!! I went ahead an ordered. We are "The Simmons Homeschool Academy". Not fancy but gets the job done. I like reading other homeschool names. Thankyou everyone for the help.

When I saw all of you talking about names last week I came up with one, so this was my first chance to use it...

We are now the Compass Academy (Pointing her in the right direction).

I asked on the Colgate site about the little pills...they sent me back an email saying that they are not on their current product listings but...
If you go online to http://www.drugstore.com and search by "disclosing tablets"
you will find them on sale for $2.79 for 12.

I will definately be checking that out...
