Have you tried contacting your favorite business to compliment them?? Most of them are willing to send out coupons for a FREE product. I've recieved ones lately by contacting:
*country crock (recieved one for margarine and one for a side dish)
*Sunny D
Dannon Yogurt free 4 pack or 6 pack drink product (plus 2 50cents off)
*saran wrap
*glade refil for flameless candle (plus I recieved a free flameless candle as being a bzz agent)
*Country Bob's all pourpose sauce
super pretzel (from doing a survey)
*Kraft contacted me via E-mail and asked if I wanted to get a coupon for a free product, I chose live active but could not find it
anyway I've contacted several other companies, I'm using the list on www.mysavings.com (http://www.mysavings.com) and its taking a few days, but its so worth the time. Plus I'm still signing up for free samples every day too!
Plus I finally made it to teir 2 on bzz agent! Woo Hoo!

I never thought of that. Once I contacted a company and gave praise on a product and got no response. I didn't get ruffled up about it...I am sure they get tons of emails. But it is worth it to contact companies. The company will give a better coupon then the ones you get in the paper, normally.

I've also done the opposite! We ordered from Pizza Hut a few years ago and the pizza was horrible. The service wasn't much better! We normally used a different location but this was closer at the time. Well, I went to their website and filled out the "what do you think" form and politely told them about the service. Within a day or two a rep from Pizza Hut called the house, asked me about the service and we ended up getting a gift certificate type deal for the amount of the pizza!

I've filled out several restaurant comment cards when having bad service. (It has to be really bad for me to comment, most things I can take in stride) I've never been offered anything- no coupon, no discount, nothing! I do sign up for free samples, but I never thought about writing a company that I like. Of course, I'm mostly a generic brand person. Saves money!

We went to a restaurant recently that we have had consistent superior food and service. It NEVER fails for a manager to come out and check with us. The last time we were there, something was not quite as good. I don't remember exactly what. It was NOT "bad", just not up to the superior quality I was accustomed. So when the manager came out, I truely believed they cared. So I told him it wasn't as good as usual, but it was STILL very acceptable. Well, he took it off my bill! If I thought he'd do that, I wouldn't have said anything, because it really wasn't bad!

I'm really talking about companies, not resturants. (though I'm the the first one on the phone if we have a problem or bad service.)
I got an E-mail today from the flinstone/Bayer company they are sending a coupon booklet on their products, I also got one from the Campbell's soup company after they got my compliment, they are sending a free coupon for a campbll's product wich includes the V-8 and other things.

I bought a graco carseat for my dd. For some reason, the fabric made her break out (it was like a nylon) so I contacted them just so that they were aware of the problem if it came up with other customers. The sent me a NEW cover for the car seat made out of cotton. I had also gotten a swing from the same company but with the shipping and banging around to get it to the store, it wouldn't work. They overnighted me a new moter!
I love graco

Companies don't want you to feel like you wasted money on their product, I'm glad they sent you what you needed. And you are doing just what they hoped you would do, word of mouth is the best advertizing.

I once got a used kitchen set by Little Tykes. It was missing a couple of pieces, so I called to see if I could order them (expecting to pay for them). They sent them to me free, even though I wasn't the original buyer.

I appreciate that they were willing to help. Unlike Carters, which doesn't seem to care!

A similar thing happened to us, and Pizza Hut was quick to make it all right. Our situation was a waitress who got her highly perfumed hand cream all over our cups and silverware. Bleh!
