Do any of you use timelines? I've done one this year with Ohio history that worked fairly well, but I was able to find lots of pictures in our history book and on-line to use. There's a book you can buy with lots of timeline pictures; I'm wondering if it'd be worth it.

Try www.homeschoolinthewoods.com.
They have some beautiful art work.
I am considering it.

We have been using the Beautiful Feet time lines here. They work well, but we might branch out next year. My kids like to "be creative and do their own thing." I'm thinking of using the stock time-line and letting them do thier own art work and add history pockets. You use the pocket dividers inside a note book and mark your time line across the bottom. I think this would be fun to stuff in lots of extras like the Evan Moor-Histroy pockets we make.
I'm up for ideas!

Leah, that's the site I was looking at that inspired me to ask in the first place! I feel they did a wonderful job explaining the different styles of using it. I'm seriously considering purchasing the Creation to Christ timeline figures for next year.

Tammy, I bought the BF ones last year for American History. Started off very well, then got bogged down after Christmas. We switched to state history then, and was able to get all we needed on our own. My girls enjoyed doing the timelines.

You can make notebooks with the time lines.
If you use one face of each sheet, it can be removed from the binder and spread across the floor for viewing.
